Hard to believe we’ve had our hens for a whole year already! 🐔🎉
Gloria, Rita and Betty have become such a special part of daily life in Scoil na mBuachaillí over the past year. From collecting eggs and caring for the hens to baking, biodiversity projects and even our Young Scientist research, they have brought so much joy and hands-on learning to our school community. 🥚🌱💚
The hens have helped teach responsibility, teamwork, sustainability and wellbeing, while becoming much-loved members of our school family along the way.
A huge thank you to Ms O’Shea, Finbarr and Noreen for all their care and dedication to the project, and to our pupils, staff, families and wider community for their continued support — especially Grandad David, who kindly minds the hens during the Easter and summer holidays!
Here’s to another fantastic year because life really is better with chickens! 🐓
