Roots of Empathy Visits Continue to Bring Joy to 3rd Class 💕

14th May 2026

Roots of Empathy is an internationally recognised programme that helps children develop empathy, emotional literacy and positive relationships through guided classroom visits from a baby and parent.

Baby Éabha and her mother, Margaret, continue to visit our 3rd Class as part of this wonderful programme. The boys always look forward to their visits and enjoy engaging and meaningful sessions with Mrs Elaine Connolly, our trained Roots of Empathy instructor.

Over the course of the year, the children have had the opportunity to observe Baby Éabha’s growth and development, discuss emotions and relationships, and learn the importance of kindness, understanding and inclusion. The boys particularly enjoy interacting with Baby Éabha during the sessions and seeing the progress she continues to make with each visit.

We are privileged that Margaret has shared Baby Éabha with us and the joy she brings to our classroom and wider school community. We absolutely love Éabha’s little personality — she truly has us all wrapped around her little finger!

As an aside, these photographs not only capture Baby Éabha’s development throughout the programme, but also the growth and maturity of our 3rd class boys as they prepare for their move to 4th class.

We look forward to continuing to follow Baby Éabha’s journey.
