We are delighted to announce that our 3rd Class has been invited to participate in the Roots of Empathy programme. This internationally recognised initiative helps children develop emotional literacy and empathy by learning to identify and understand their own feelings and the feelings of others.
As part of the programme, a baby and parent will visit the classroom every three weeks. Under the guidance of Mrs. Elaine Connolly, a trained Roots of Empathy instructor, the children will gather to observe and reflect on the baby’s growth and development, fostering compassion, understanding, and respect for others.
We were thrilled to welcome our special visitors today — Beautiful Baby Éabha and her wonderful mother, Margaret. We look forward to following Baby Éabha’s journey throughout the year and to the many valuable lessons this programme will bring to our classroom.
