🥞 Pancake Tuesday Fun in Scoil na mBuachaillí! 🥞 What a fantastic day we had celebrating Pancake Tuesday! The delicious smell of fresh pancakes filled the corridors from morning to home time, and there were smiles (and maybe a little bit of chocolate!) everywhere you looked. The boys thoroughly enjoyed their tasty treats and the lovely buzz it brought to the school. Mrs Harte would also like to extend a very warm — and very well-fed — thank you to everyone who kindly sent pancake deliveries to the office. They were gratefully received and disappeared at an impressive speed! 😄🥞
🎭We couldn’t be prouder of Ms Connolly 🎭
🐔🌾 Trip to Lisavaird Co-Op! 🌾🐔 Ms O’Shea and her team had a wonderful shopping trip to Lisavaird Co-Op to pick up essential supplies for our chickens 🛒🐓. As part of caring for our hens, it’s important that we develop a full understanding of every aspect of caring for our hens — from choosing the right feed 🌽 to ensuring they have everything they need to stay healthy, active and content 🥚✨. Experiences like this help us connect learning with real responsibility 📚💛 and show how thoughtful preparation plays a big part in animal care 🌿🐔. A big thank you to the fantastic staff at Lisavaird Co-Op for their help and guidance — we really appreciate the support! 🙌😊
We are incredibly fortunate in Scoil na mBuachaillí to be part of such a vibrant and supportive town 🌍💙 Our pupils don’t just learn within the walls of the classroom — they benefit from the many opportunities available across Clonakilty. From working alongside Clonakilty Tidy Towns 🌿 and supporting environmental initiatives, to visiting our local library 📚, and taking part in community projects, festivals and sporting events ⚽🎶, our pupils experience first-hand what it means to belong to an active and connected community. These partnerships enrich learning, build civic pride and remind us all that education extends well beyond the school gates. We value the continued collaboration with the many local organisations and agencies that contribute so much to school life 🤝 If any local organisation would be interested in supporting educational experiences for our pupils through collaboration or shared initiatives, we would be delighted to explore opportunities to work together. Please feel free to contact the Principal, Norma Harte, through the school office. Big hearts. 💕👐 This week we captured a lovely moment of friendship and care in our school, as our 6th Class pupils helped and encouraged our Junior Infants while they created their Valentine’s clay masterpieces 🎨❤️ A beautiful example of older pupils leading with kindness 🤝 and younger pupils learning with confidence 🌟 — true teamwork and school spirit on display! 💖👏 #BigBuddiesLittleHands #KindnessInAction #ValentinesDayCelebrations 💕✨
🎶A wonderful musical occasion was enjoyed recently in Bandon, where Kay O’Flynn’s talented musicians were given the opportunity to perform. The boys proudly represented Scoil na mBuachaillí outside of school, showcasing their musical talents through a lovely variety of instruments, including accordion, guitar, tin whistle and more. 🎶 Well done to all who took part, and sincere thanks to Kay for her continued dedication and encouragement of music in our school. 👏🎵
⚽ House Cup Action at Scoil na mBuachaillí! ⚽ Our much-loved House Cup is a monthly highlight in Scoil na mBuachaillí! Rang 3 take on Rang 4, while Rang 5 battle it out with Rang 6 in exciting and sporting contests — all played in our very own soccer yard. Expertly refereed by Mr. Seán Daly, the games are always eagerly anticipated and enthusiastically supported by pupils throughout the school. Plenty of skill, teamwork and school spirit on display each month! 👏⚽
