🌟🌟SNB Soccer Makes History! ⚽🔥 For the first time ever, we had a team progress to the County Finals in the FAI Primary 5-a-Side Competition! Clonakilty BNS UTD battled through a series of very close and hard-fought matches and proudly broke new ground for our school. Not only did they reach the County Finals, but they also advanced to the Semi-Final, placing them among the top 4 Large Schools teams across Cork city and county — an outstanding and historic achievement! Today we travelled to Corinthians to compete in the Large Schools competition, featuring schools from across Cork city and county. Out of 256 teams that began this journey, our boys showed incredible spirit, teamwork, and determination throughout the day, representing our school with great pride. We are so proud of every player for their effort and commitment. A huge thank you to all our supporters and to the staff for their encouragement, coaching, and support. 🐔🌸 Hen-cation Mode: ON! – Our Lucky Ladies Are Living Their Best Easter Life 🌿☀️ Our gorgeous hens have officially clocked out for Easter and checked in to their very own countryside retreat… with a very special Grandad! 🐔💛 Between the fresh air, endless exploring, and plenty of pecking about, it’s safe to say the girls are having a fabulous time on their holidays. How lucky are we to have such a kind and caring Grandad looking after them? It really says so much about the warm, community spirit here in SNB 🌼 And let’s be honest—between the hens, Noreen, Finbarr and all our wonderful staff… everyone has more than earned this well-deserved break! ☀️ Wishing everyone a lovely Easter—enjoy a few snaps of our hens living their best “hen-cation” life 🐣

🐣🌷 A Wonderful Easter Morning for Junior Infants! 🌷🐣 Our Junior Infants had a truly magical morning today! They started their day with a visit to the Cork County Council Library & Arts Service library alongside 4th Class, where the boys enjoyed being read some lovely stories 📚✨ Next stop was the Sensory Garden, where they joined their 6th Class Playground Pals for a very exciting Easter egg hunt! 🐰🍫 A big thank you to Ms O’Shea and Ms Horgan for organising, and to James McCarthy and the 6th Class boys for helping make it so much fun. The boys also did a great job litter picking afterwards ♻️ before heading back to school to enjoy their well-earned Easter eggs! A fantastic morning full of fun, teamwork and smiles 😊💛 — the perfect way to finish Term 2! Clonakilty Tidy Towns

🌟🍕 Celebrating Our Amazing Playground Pals! 🍕🌟 Our Playground Pals programme continues to be a truly special part of school life, and we couldn’t be prouder of our wonderful 6th Class pupils! 💙👏 Their leadership, kindness, and care have shone through all term as they supported our Junior Infants and Rang 7, building friendships, boosting confidence and creating a strong sense of belonging across our school 🤝✨ Through regular check-ins and fun activities, they have made a real difference — and it has not gone unnoticed! 🌈😊 To celebrate their fantastic commitment, our Playground Pals enjoyed a well-deserved pizza party 🍕🎉 — a chance to come together, reflect on their positive impact and enjoy some great fun! We are so proud of each and every one of you. You are true role models for our school community 🌟💫 👏 Huge congratulations and well done to all involved in making Playground Pals such a success! 👏💙

🌍✨🎉 4th Class Culture Day 🎉✨🌍 4th Class recently hosted a fantastic Culture Day, transforming their classroom into a vibrant hub of global learning! 🌎📚 Pupils showcased a wonderful variety of countries, including Slovakia 🇸🇰, Poland 🇵🇱, Nigeria 🇳🇬, Ireland 🇮🇪, Germany 🇩🇪, Mexico 🇲🇽, France 🇫🇷, Lithuania 🇱🇹 and Russia 🇷🇺. Each group put incredible effort into their presentations, sharing fascinating facts, flags, traditions, and of course, delicious foods 🍽️🥨🍰 from their chosen country. From colourful posters 🎨🖍️ and creative models 🏗️ to traditional snacks and homemade dishes, the pride and enthusiasm in their work were clear for all to see 👏✨ It was a brilliant opportunity for pupils to learn from one another, celebrate diversity 🤝🌏, and develop a deeper appreciation of cultures from around the world. The day was filled with curiosity 🤔, respect ❤️, and plenty of smiles 😊😁 A special thank you to their teacher, Ms. Marie Hayes, for all her work in making the day such a success 👏💫 Well done to all in 4th Class for such an engaging and enjoyable event! 👏🌎🎉
