🤸‍♂️✨ Our pupils are absolutely loving their gymnastics classes with Aoife! ✨🤸‍♀️ Each session is filled with fun, movement, encouragement and excitement as the children develop their balance, coordination, strength and confidence through a wide variety of activities and challenges. We are incredibly lucky to have such fantastic facilities in our school, providing our pupils with a wonderful space to stay active, learn new skills and enjoy movement in a safe and supportive environment. 💙 Aoife’s positivity, patience and expertise shine through in every class. Most importantly, she creates an inclusive atmosphere where every pupil feels encouraged to participate, be brave, try something new and believe in themselves. 👏 It has been fantastic to watch our pupils grow in confidence, resilience and teamwork throughout these sessions. Thank you, Aoife, for making gymnastics such a positive and enjoyable experience for everyone! 🌟 #Gymnastics #ActiveSchools #Confidence #Inclusion #Bravery #Teamwork #LearningThroughMovement
🧠🎵 SNB 4th class presents their brilliant STEM project in UL! 🎵🧠 What a fantastic day for Ms Hayes’s 4th Class at Science Blast in the University of Limerick! 👏🔬 The boys proudly presented their excellent project: 🎶 “Does Music Help Our Brain Power?” 🎶 This clever investigation beautifully combined SNB’s wonderful musical tradition with STEM learning, exploring how music affects memory, concentration, literacy and maths. 🎼💡 The project was hugely admired throughout the exhibition and the judge was incredibly impressed with the boys’ scientific thinking, teamwork and presentation skills. The boys explained their project brilliantly and were a real credit to our school! ⭐👏 The class also loved exploring the interactive STEM exhibits and activities throughout the day 🚀 — and to make an already amazing day even better, they received a plaque recognising their fantastic work before enjoying some very well-earned ice cream on the journey home! 🍦🏅 A huge thank you to Ms Hayes for all her hard work and dedication. We are so proud of everyone involved! 💙 #ScienceBlast #STEM #FutureScientists #ScoilnamBuachailli #UL

We were very proud to see some of our SNB boys supporting the weekend’s fantastic Golf Classic for St. Joseph's Girls NS Clonakilty ⛳💙❤️ A huge well done to everyone in SJGNS on such a wonderful and successful occasion. The great community spirit and hard work behind the event were clear to see throughout the weekend 👏
Our Sciath na Scol Peil West Cork Roinn 1 campaign continued on Monday, May 18th, as we welcomed St. Patrick’s Boys’ School, Skibbereen to Ahamilla for our second game of the competition 🏐💙 Unfortunately, the result didn’t go our way on the day, but the boys showed fantastic determination, teamwork and resilience from start to finish 👏💪 Their effort and attitude throughout the game were a credit to themselves and the school, and there are plenty of positives to build on as the competition continues. Attention now turns to our next fixture against Newcestown NS on Thursday, May 21st, where the boys will be eager to bounce back with another strong performance 🔵⚪ Best of luck, boys! 🍀 #SciathNaScol #WestCorkFootball #SchoolSpirit #Teamwork #Ahamilla #ScoilnamBuachaillí
A huge thank you to our fantastic Parents’ Association for organising the wonderful 6th Class hoodies, which the boys are proudly wearing today! 🎉 The hoodies look absolutely brilliant and will be a very special keepsake for the boys as they near the end of their primary school journey in Scoil na mBuachaillí. A special word of thanks to Elaine Dinneen, Mark Griffin and Noreen Collins for all of their hard work, time and effort in making this happen. Your support and dedication are truly appreciated by the boys, staff and wider school community. 👏💙 #ScoilnamBuachaillí #6thClass #SchoolCommunity #ThankYouPA
📚✨ Turning Pages & Building Spaces ✨📚 Our Every Child a Reader Programme has come to a very successful conclusion in Scoil na mBuachaillí Clonakilty. Over the past number of weeks, pupils from 3rd, 4th and 5th Class enjoyed inspiring workshops with Champion of Reading Elizabeth Rose Murray (E.R. Murray), exploring books, reading habits and favourite genres together. Non-fiction, sport and comedy proved especially popular! 📖 As part of the programme, we received a fantastic selection of books from Children’s Books Ireland, while a generous donation from a grandparent in our school community has also helped support the continued development of our library resources. 💙 The programme finished with a relaxing whole-school reading session, celebrating reading for enjoyment in a calm and welcoming atmosphere. Behind the scenes, exciting work is also underway on our brand new library area. A huge thank you to Finbarr for creating the beautiful bespoke library space, to Sam for helping with the upholstery and seating area, and to Ms Carol O’Boyle for coordinating the programme so successfully. 👏 We have also introduced a new Library Management System through Aladdin and look forward to appointing pupil librarians in the near future. 📚 Read. Explore. Imagine. Grow. 💙
💙✨ ACTIVE SCHOOL WEEK 2026 ✨💙 What an incredible week we have had in Scoil na mBuachaillí Clonakilty during Active School Week! 🙌🏃‍♂️⚽🎾🤸‍♂️🏉 Throughout the week, the boys enjoyed a fantastic variety of activities including line dancing, kickboxing, soccer, gymnastics, GAA, tennis, athletics, tag rugby, fitness workouts and walking activities. It was wonderful to see the pupils trying new sports, developing skills, building confidence and discovering so many different ways to stay active and healthy. 💪😊 The enthusiasm, positivity and teamwork shown by all the boys throughout the week was fantastic to see. A huge thank you to all of our coaches, instructors, staff, parents and volunteers who helped make the week such a success. 👏 A special thank you to the Parents’ Association for organising soccer training for all classes on our final day, and to Mark Griffin, Donal Morley, David Gilbert, Nick Harrison and Jozef Haspala for giving their time and expertise throughout the day. ⚽🙌 A very special thank you to Mr Seán Daly for organising such an incredible Active School Week and for coordinating our Active Flag renewal journey. Your hard work and dedication ensured a fun-filled and memorable week for all our pupils. 💙🎉 #ActiveSchoolWeek #ActiveSchoolFlag #ScoilNaMBuachaillí #Clonakilty #HealthyBodiesHealthyMinds https://www.snbclonakilty.com/news/active-school-week--day-5-/
🚨 COUNTY FINALISTS FOR SCOIL NA mBUACHAILLÍ! 🚨🏆💙 We are delighted that both our Hurling and Football Skills teams have successfully qualified from the West Cork stage of the Cork Regional Primary School Skills Competitions in Dunmanway and will now progress to the County Finals in SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh on May 20th. 👏 With schools from across West Cork competing at a very high standard, this is a wonderful achievement for our boys and we are very proud of the way they represented our school on the day. 💙 🏑 Hurling Team: Séimí Forristal, Seán Kennedy & Max O’Keeffe 🏐 Football Team: Luca O’Donovan, Darragh Hennessy & Kgotso Mazibeli The competitions tested a wide range of hurling and football skills including striking, soloing, goal scoring, teamwork and accuracy under pressure. Only the top two hurling teams and top two football teams from each regional competition progress to the County Finals, making qualification a tremendous accomplishment. ⭐ The winners of the County Finals will then advance to the Munster Finals on June 3rd. 🏆 A huge well done to the boys on this wonderful achievement and best of luck in Páirc Uí Chaoimh next week! 🍀💪 #SchoolPride #GAA #SkillsCompetition #WestCork #countyfinalists Clonakilty GAA Club
