At Scoil na mBuachaillí, we love to celebrate our students’ efforts in learning and using Irish! Each week, we proudly award the title of Gaeilgeoir na Seachtaine to pupils who have shown enthusiasm, dedication, and progress in speaking, reading, and writing in the Irish language.

This special recognition highlights the importance of practising and using Irish in all areas of school life. Whether it’s through confidently using new vocabulary, answering questions in class, participating actively in Irish activities, or showing a positive and encouraging attitude towards the language, our Gaeilgeoir na Seachtaine sets a wonderful example for others to follow.

At the end of the school year, during our Annual Celebration Day, a special Gaeilgeoir na Seachtaine Award is presented. This award honours the student who has consistently demonstrated excellence, commitment, and enthusiasm in their Irish language learning throughout the year, celebrating both skill and effort.
