Gentleman of the Week
At Scoil na mBuachaillí, we are proud of our weekly “Gentleman of the Week” award — a valued tradition that celebrates students who consistently show kindness, respect, and positive behaviour throughout their school week.
This award is more than a title; it recognises the small but meaningful actions that help make our school a happier, more welcoming place for everyone. Whether it’s offering help without being asked, using kind words, demonstrating good manners, including others in games, or being a calm and positive role model in the classroom and on the yard, these thoughtful moments contribute greatly to the caring community we strive to nurture.
At the end of the school year, during our Annual Celebration Day, a special Gentleman of the Year Award is also presented. This highlight of the school calendar allows us to honour the students who have consistently embodied the values of kindness, respect, and positive behaviour throughout the entire year.
We are especially delighted to recognise our Junior Infant Gentlemen of the Week, who have made an exceptional start to their school journey. Even at this early stage, these young boys are already showing wonderful maturity, empathy, and a willingness to look out for one another. Their enthusiasm, friendliness, and gentle behaviour set a beautiful example for their peers, and we couldn’t be prouder of them.
This weekly — and yearly — celebration serves as an inspiring reminder that kindness matters, and that every student has the power to make a positive difference. 🌟
