🌿 Green Flag Success for Our School! 🌿

Congratulations to our wonderful Green-Schools Committee on a fantastic achievement! We are delighted to share that our application for the Green Flag Award has been successful 🎉

This marks an incredible milestone as we celebrate our 8th Green Flag renewal, awarded for the theme of Global Citizenship – Marine Environment 🌊

The Green Flag will be officially presented by An Taisce at the upcoming awards ceremony:
📅 Tuesday, 26th May
📍 Fota Wildlife Park, Carrigtwohill, Co. Cork

The Green-Schools programme is a student-led initiative that promotes long-term, whole-school action for the environment. We are especially proud of our work across the core themes:

💧 Water
🚶 Travel
🌱 Biodiversity

We are also continuing to build on this success through our work on the Global Citizenship themes achieved so far:
🌍 Global Citizenship – Litter & Waste
⚡ Global Citizenship – Energy
🌊 Global Citizenship – Marine Environment

We look forward to working towards the remaining themes:
🚶 Global Citizenship – Travel
🌱 Global Citizenship – Food and Biodiversity

We look forward to continuing our work on these existing themes and working towards achieving all 10 themes in the coming four years 🌍💚

A special mention to our Green-Schools Coordinator, Ms. Niamh MacAuley, for her dedication, leadership, and outstanding work in guiding the programme in our school 👏

Ms. MacAuley, along with three members of our school community, will proudly attend the awards ceremony to represent us on the day.
