Our Senior Infants made the most of the beautiful sunshine this week by taking their learning outdoors—and what a fantastic time they had!
The children brought their books outside and spread out across the grass, finding cosy spots to read with friends. It was wonderful to see such enthusiasm for reading in the fresh air, with lots of sharing, storytelling, and quiet moments enjoying their favourite books.
There was plenty of time for fun and exploration too! From building and balancing on outdoor play equipment to imaginative games with friends, the yard was full of energy, laughter, and teamwork. The children also enjoyed time in Emmet Square, where they explored nature, relaxed on benches, and played together under the trees.
We even had some action-packed moments with running, games, and lots of movement—making the most of the space and sunshine!
Days like these are so important for wellbeing, social development, and fostering a love of learning beyond the classroom. We are very lucky to have such lovely outdoor spaces to enjoy.
