Our school was filled with excitement and joy as pupils from 2nd to 6th class took to the stage for their wonderful performance of Hosanna Rock, which took place in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Clonakilty. From start to finish, the show was a true celebration of talent, teamwork and school spirit.
The children delivered outstanding performances, impressing everyone with their confidence, enthusiasm and commitment. The singing was amazing, with beautiful harmonies and plenty of energy that brought the story to life. The costumes were colourful and creative, adding greatly to the overall impact of the production.
A special word of praise must go to our Sound Crew, managed by Ms Regina Fitzmaurice, who did a fantastic job ensuring everything ran smoothly and professionally throughout the performance. The support and presence of John Fitzgerald helped make the production a truly professional affair, and we are very grateful for his expertise.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Fr Tom Hayes for kindly allowing us the use of the Church of the Immaculate Conception, which provided a perfect and very special setting for this retelling of the Nativity and added greatly to the atmosphere of the occasion.
This production was truly a whole-school effort, and we would like to sincerely thank all the staff members involved. In particular, we thank the class teachers who got the very best out of their classes, the SNAs who supported the children throughout rehearsals and performances, and Sam Aerts for her fantastic work on the set.
We extend our sincere appreciation to all staff for the significant work undertaken behind the scenes in the run-up to this event. This essential contribution cannot be underestimated and, though often unseen, is vital to ensuring that occasions such as this run smoothly and that both children and teachers are fully supported. It truly highlights the importance of a whole-school approach.
A very special mention goes to Mrs Elaine Connolly, whose vision, dedication and hard work directed the show and made this incredible performance possible. Her commitment ensured that every child had the opportunity to shine.
