Science is a huge and vital part of our daily lives. ESB Science Blast encourages children’s natural curiosity, asking them to investigate the science behind a simple question using essential 21st Century skills.
Ms Forristal's 3rd class and Ms Hayes' 3rd & 4th class scientists had a brilliant time at the ESB Science Blast 2025 in UL today. After weeks of research, investigations, and experiments, both classes put together amazing displays for the event and were wonderfully received by the judges Professor Yvonne Ryan & Junaid Afzal.
3rd Class explored the question “Can we create a sustainable garden in our school?” The judge's feedback (on website) ws outstanding. SNB has a proud histroy of gardening but Professor Yvonne Ryan appreciated the "regenerative circular economy efforts"
3rd & 4th class explored "What is electricity?" The judge, Junaid Afzal, recognised the critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and communication among the class.
Ms Forristal, Ms Hayes, Ms Horgan and Ms Harte had an amazing day accompanying the pupils.
